Our Vision For the Future
BJJ Workouts aims to change the focus of BJJ players away from the notion that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a simple leisure activity with little physical requirements. In fact, just the opposite is true. BJJ players are athletes and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu itself is athletic in nature. To submit you opponents, you must produce the maximum range of motion and force in the joints at the hips, spine,elbows and shoulders. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can and will produce injuries in an unfit, tight and ill-prepared body. However, a few simple changes can improve the enjoyment and performance of BJJ players at every level. We will serve as your leader in fitness education as it relates to BJJ.
What makes BJJ Workouts Unique?
We specialize in working with recreational BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) players. Not only that, we’re recreational BJJ players ourselves. We train ourselves exactly the same way you need to be getting the most out of your body, your training and time.
And because we know that your time is short, we provide quality-training programs that are delivered in under an hour, often times under 45 minutes. You’ll still have to time train BJJ, be with your family and get your work done.
About me JCB or Jason C. Brown as other people may call me.
I started training BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) in 1996-97 with Steve Maxwell. At Maxercise, the first Gracie Jiu Jitsu academy on the easy coast. Since that time I’ve helped hundreds of BJJ players, recreational and competitive players get the most out of their bodies on and off the mat.
I train at Balance Studios in Philadelphia and I’m quite spoiled. They have a great noon class that has 30 tough partners to train with on a daily basis. Plus some awesome coaches. thanks for stopping by. Please take off your shoes and stay a while.
