You’re only as good as your ability to recover from your training. This could be your BJJ training itself or your BJJ workout program. From this point forward we’ll call this quality your “recoverability” because it makes me sound smart and coach-like.

Fatigue sucks, there’s no way around it. Being tired during a match is one of the worse feelings ever! I’m sure you’ve been there at times, tempted to tap out simply from fatigue and exhaustion. I feel you. I’ve been there myself and to be honest I’m sure I’ve done it more than once.
You might be a geek. I’m a geek and I tend to sit around and think about all things movement, athletic development and BJJ- so while the wind and rain were pounding on the trees outside my house I started to think about fatigue, BJJ or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Athletic Development.

Getting Started? Building Momentum in your BJJ Workouts
You can plan, plan and plan your BJJ Workouts but planning does not produce any training momentum.
You’ve got to start moving. You’ve have to do something, anything to start your training process/momentum.
It’s much easier to start with something very small, like a brief 10-15 minute training session instead of stressing over your huge training plan.

Do you think you could curl these?
Stainless steel- 108lb- 2.5 inch grip! These things are crazy.
Just a quick note, Ricardo and Mike are some of the strongest BJJ players that I know and have trained with. Maybe a decade ago when Mike was still a bluebelt one of his favorite grip training methods was hanging from thick tree limbs. It worked and it seems to have endured.
And Ricky? Forget it, once he gets his grips on you it’s over.
